We present courses in both English and Afrikaans. The course duration varies between 3 days and 18 months, depending on which course is chosen.

After completing the course, you are required to be competent in both practical and embedded knowledge before you are issued with a certificate or diploma. A minimum of 170 practical hours are required for skills courses.

QUALIFICATIONS OFFERED:

Further Education and Training Certificate: Beauty and Nail Technology

On achieving this qualification, the learner will be able to:

  • Set up a salon business
  • Coordinate and perform a salon service
  • Perform beauty services

Or

  • Perform nail services

 

 

NATIONAL CERTIFICATE IN HAIRDRESSING

NQF Level 2 qualification should result in the learner becoming a competent Operator, capable of:

  • Operating safely within the salon environment
  • Maintaining professional standards of hygiene and image
  • Completing straightforward hairdressing services, such as shampooing and conditioning, unsupervised
  • Competently assisting the professional stylist with more complex services

The elective unit standards provide for a wide range of possible areas of focus from providing an early opportunity to tackle units standards such as

 

NQF Level 3 qualidication should result in the Junior Stylist being capable of:

  • Performing a cutting service on ladies and gents hair
  • Styling long hair
  • Relaxing hair
  • Performing a basic colouring service
  • Neutralising perms

 

NQF Level 4 - On achieving this qualification, the learner will be able to:

  • Perform hairdressing services
  • Range Services are performed on either Afro or Caucasian hair
  • Run a hairdressing salon
  • Set up a new hairdressing business

 

 

 

Permanent make-up Skills Courses:

Includes Kit, Training, Exam, Certificate.

Duration: Five days and 170 practical hours

Deposit 50% on booking and the rest on commencement date

(9:00 to 16:00)

January 2012: 16 to 20 & 23 to 27

February 2012: 6 to 10 & 20 to 24

March 2012: 5 to 9, 19 to 23 & 26 to 30

April 2012: 16 to 20

May 2012: 7 to 11, 14 to 18 & 28 May to 1 June

June 2012: 11 to 15 & 25 to 29

 

Make-up course:

Duration: 3 days and 170 practical hours

Deposit 50% on booking and the rest on commencement date

 

All Systems Nail course:

Duration: Five days and 170 practical hours (Includes Certificate, gel/acrylic/dip acrylic/fibre/silk training and kit)

Deposit 50% on booking and the rest on commencement date

 

Part-time Hairdressing course:

Mondays and every second Saturday from 8am to 4pm.

Includes kit, training, exams, Schwarzkopf courses.

Duration: 18 months

Deposit (30%)

Classes start in January 2012.

(for brides and special occasions):

January 2012: 25 & 26

February 2012: 1 & 2, 15 & 16, 28 & 29

March 2012: 14 & 15, 21 & 22

April 2012: 3 & 4, 17 & 18

May 2012: 2 & 3, 22 & 23

June 2012: 5 & 6, 12 & 13, 19 & 20

 

 

Part-time Beauty Therapy Course:

Two days per week from 8:00 to 16:00.

Includes kit, training, exams, Charmzone course.

Duration: 12 months

Deposit (30%)

(8:00 to 16:00 day one and 8:00 to 12:00 day two)

Starting date: 6 February 2012
